A total of 21 special show and market models, ranging from minicars to heavy-duty trucks and large buses, will be on display to demonstrate Mitsubishi's commitment to commercial vehicles that keep society running smoothly. A wide range of new technologies aimed at making future commercial vehicles more environmentally friendly and improving efficiency will also be on display.

This year marks the 70th anniversary for Mitsubishi Fuso-Mitsubishi Motors' commercial vehicle brand. Over the years, Mitsubishi Fuso has built up a wealth of technological know-how and gained a reputation for producing reliable products. This technological expertise is apparent in the latest features and technologies to be introduced at this year's show and the vehicles in which these technologies are used. The new performance features and technologies focus on compatibility with the environment, efficiency, safety, and comfort.

The stage for technology exhibits will showcase advanced technologies as well as panels that detail Mitsubishi Fuso's history. A presentation will be given to highlight new technologies that focus on ecological measures, such as cleaner engine technologies. The special show models on display include a Canter HEV-designed for economical, low-emission performance and compatibility with the environment-and a Super Great FU Ultra-Light Aluminum Frame model, which is designed to greatly raise payload capacity.

A corner of the booth will be set aside as a meeting area for interested visitors to talk with representatives of the company. In addition, Mitsubishi will provide an Aero Nonstep HEV large bus and a Super Great heavy-duty truck for test-drives to be held on the outdoor test drive course.

1. Trucks

Super Great Heavy Trucks

• Super Great FU Ultra-Light Aluminum Frame model (show model)
  The FU raises the bar in efficiency standards. It comes equipped with an ultra lightweight aluminum frame developed using variable cross-section extrusion molding to achieve the greatest payload capacity in its class. Super Single Tires and aluminum wheels are also used to achieve a total weight reduction of about 500 kg. A new aluminum bulk tank increases the volume of bulk that can be carried.
• Super Great FS All-Wheel Air Suspension Short Cab Model
  This Super Great short cab model is a rigid truck that boasts the largest cargo room in its class. The cargo room has gull-wing doors, for easier loading and unloading. Its economical straight-six intercooler-turbocharged engine and INOMAT (electronically controlled mechanical automatic transmission) promise excellent economy. All-wheel air suspension greatly boosts the chances that the quality of the transported goods will remain high. A Super Multi-Roof, which conceals a bed space, shows Mitsubishi's commitment to greater comfort and safety.
• Super Great FP-R Ultra-Economical Motorway Tractor
  This motorway tractor delivers superior economy for a commercial vehicle. Its economical, high-torque engine, which uses high-pressure combustion, was ideally matched to an economical drivetrain and 9-speed INOMAT. The model to be displayed will be a High-Roof Cab Custom Rear Air Suspension model that is fully equipped with amenities. MDAS-II (Mitsubishi Driver's Awareness monitoring System), a feature that contributes to greater motorway safety, is also fitted.
• Super Great FS INOMAT (test drive)
  This cargo truck with rear air-suspension achieves lower fuel consumption and greater driving comfort thanks to INOMAT.

Fighter and Fighter NX Medium Trucks

• Fighter NX CNG
  A medium short cab truck that uses compressed natural gas (CNG) for fuel was newly developed. The low-emission vehicle is cleaner and much quieter, making it ideal for jobs that require deliveries and pickups in residential areas or require late-night or early morning operations.
• Fighter Air Suspension 5AT model
  The Fighter medium truck was fitted with a new five-speed automatic transmission (AT) that delivers convenient, comfortable performance. Its fuel economy and running performance are better than those of the previous 3AT model. Its air suspension, which is popular for being easier on occupants and cargo, was given an electronically controlled height control for even better freight-moving qualities.

Canter and Canter GUTS Light Trucks

• Canter HEV (show model)
  A Canter light truck was fitted with a newly developed compact parallel-type hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) system, which uses a motor to assist the engine. The truck proposes new uses for environmentally friendly vehicles. The system was coupled to a next-generation INOMAT for even cleaner, more economical performance.
• Canter CNG (show model)
  The Canter CNG light truck was launched five years ago as a LEV low-emission vehicle (LEV) that uses an alternative fuel. Amidst growing popularity for its clean performance, a new Canter CNG with new styling will debut.
• Canter LEV Regulations-Compliant Diesel model
  Japanese metropolitan and LEV-6 standards, which are stricter than the national government's low-emission regulations, were enacted to promote more widespread usage of LEVs. The Canter LEV-Compliant Diesel model was equipped with a particle matter reducer (an oxidizing catalyst) to enable cleaner performance with fewer emissions. The low-emission truck meets metropolitan standards.
• Canter FE-J
  The new Canter model has a new ultra-long wheelbase. It can be fitted with a 6-m-long cargo room or bed. This is the longest in the class of domestically made light trucks. Moreover, it promises a maximum payload of 4.4 tons, for superior commercial efficiency. Its wide cab provides the class's biggest interior, for greater comfort.
• Canter GUTS
  The Canter GUTS covers the class for payload capacity that ranges from 1.5 to 1.75 tons, endearing it even more to everyday operations. A flat bed truck, its most popular configuration, will be exhibited. It is fitted with a convenient INVECS-II 4AT.

2. Buses

Aero Series of Large Buses

• Aero King Motorway Coach
  The only double-decker made in Japan, the Aero King features commanding styling and superior seating capacity, setting it head and shoulders above other vehicles designed for leisurely travel. Overnight travel is becoming increasingly popular in Japan, and the exhibit accordingly has overnight motorway coach specifications. It uses its outstanding seating capacity to seat 38. It also meets barrier-free transportation regulations, having a wheelchair space and such.
• Aero Nonstep HEV (test drive)
  The Aero Nonstep HEV adds the efficiency and environmental friendliness of hybrid electric systems to the Aero Star Nonstep bus designed for coping with an increase in elderly passengers.

Aero Midi Mid-size Buses

• Aero Midi MK Nonstep Bus
  A mid-size non-step bus was developed to encourage wider usage of people-friendly nonstep buses. Although its 10.5-m length enables a passenger capacity on par with a large transit bus, its 2.3-m width gives it superb maneuverability. This transit bus offers superior economy to meet a number of expectations. This bus also complies with barrier-free transportation regulations, coming equipped with a wheelchair ramp, wheelchair space, and clear destination signs.
• Aero Midi ME Nonstep Bus (show model)
  This highly maneuverable short 2.1-m-wide community bus is ideal for places with many narrow roads or residential routes. Its nonstep design eases access for the elderly and wheelchair-bound. Although it is compact, the bus offers a superb passenger capacity. It is also designed for smooth one-person operations.

Rosa Compact Buses

• Rosa CNG School Bus
  The Rosa small bus was developed for use as a kindergarten school bus. Its extremely clean performance, thanks in part to a CNG engine, is easier on children and the environment. Easy access doors and two-step entrance make it easy for even young children to get on and off. A back-eye monitor improves safety and is connected to the Internet for greater enjoyment.

3. Passenger car-based CVs

• Lancer Cargo (show model)
  The Lancer Cargo is a versatile light commercial vehicle (LCV) that can support any business. The Lancer Cargo comes equipped with 1500cc 16-valve SOHC ECI-MULTI engine that boasts the lowest emission levels in Japan.
• Minicab Refrigerator Truck
  The Minicab models are popular for their compact yet extremely practical packaging. A wide selection of Minicab Refrigerator Trucks is available. Each has superb cooling to ensure quality deliveries regardless of the season or product.
• Minicab Dump
  The powerful models of the Minicab Dump Truck Series range from ones with simple beds to ones with heavy-duty containers. Electrically powered or PTO-type dumpers are available to meet a variety of needs.
• Minicab Double Cab
  This multi-purpose truck has a cabin that seats four and an open cargo bed with a tailgate. Folding the rear seats increases cargo space. The rear side doors conveniently slide open.
• Minicab Tailgate Lifter
  A tailgate lifter that eases the loading and unloading of heavy items was fitted. The lifter's 350-kg capacity is equal to the car's payload capacity for greater utility.
