| Mitsubishi Motors Announces Production, Sales and Exports for July 2005 |

Tokyo, August 26, 2005
— Mitsubishi Motors Corporation today announced global production, as well as domestic sales and export results for July 2005.
Total global production was 121,427 units, a decline of 7 percent from July 2004. Domestically, 63,916 units were produced in the month, 19.9 percent more than the same period last year.
Total Sales in Japan came to 20,367 units, or a 28.4 percent increase of the previous period's figure. Domestic sales have now increased year-on-year for three consecutive months. Total sales for passenger cars were 13,298 units, 137.4 percent of last year's volume, while commercial vehicle sales also increased steadily, reaching 7,069 units, or 114.3 percent year-on-year.
Overseas production for the month decreased to 57,511 units, a 25.5 percent decrease from the amount manufactured last year. European production dropped to 4,483 units, a drop of 63.6 percent on the previous year. Production in Asia declined to 40,441 units, 78.9 percent of last year's figure for July, while production in North America also fell 24.6 percent to 7,757 units.
Total exports from Japan dropped by 10.8 percent to 31,755 units. Exports to Europe reached 12,097 units, or 118.5 percent year-on-year. Exports to Asia were down by 50.9 percent, for a total of 3,670 units, while exports to North America increased to 5,030 units, or 120.5 percent compared to the year before.
