Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Announces Organizational Change

Tokyo, August 5, 2009 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced today a realignment of the MiEV Business Management Office as well as the creation of the "EV Business Office" which will report directly to the president. Changes will take effect on August 20th and details are listed below.
  1. Organizational Realignment
    (1) The PX*1 (MiEV) function will be transferred to the "PX (MiEV)" division to be created under the Marketing Strategy Department.
    (2) The Engineering Planning Team function will be transferred to both the Research & Development Office's MiEV Engineering Department and the Marketing Strategy Department's PX (MiEV).
    (3) The Business Planning Team and the Marketing Team functions will be split, sorted, and transferred to the newly-created EV Business Planning Department, EV Business Promotion Department, and the EV Business Development Department.
    *1 PX: Product Executive - in charge of planning, development, production, and sales of a certain product.
