Upcoming Organizational Changes

Date: Nov. 30, 2000

Effective December 15, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation will reorganize its Office of Marketing Strategy, and will newly establish an Office of Z-Car Promotion.

  1. Changes to Office of Marketing Strategy

    1. Purpose

      To separate medium- and long-range car product planning functions from those of individual car product planning, development, maintenance and improvement.


    2. Actions

    • Create a new Office of Corporate Marketing Strategy to handle medium- and long-range car product planning.
    • Move the Marketing Planning Department from the Office of Marketing Strategy to the newly-created Office of Corporate Marketing Strategy.
    • Rename the current Office of Marketing Strategy as the "Office of Car Product Strategy", responsible for individual car product planning, development, maintenance and improvement.

  2. Establishment of Office of Z-Car Promotion

    1. Purpose

      To create an internal unit responsible for overall Z-car project operations as the project progresses and its operations expand.


    2. Action

      Create a new Office of Z-Car Promotion, fully in charge of promoting the Z-car project with the cooperation of related internal units.
