| Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announces that, effective 1 September, it
is to set up an Employee Advice Bureau (EAB).
1. Date of establishment
September 1, 2000
2. Organization
| (1) |
Having departmental status, the EAB will report directly to the
Chief Business Ethics Officer (CBEO). Initially, the EAB will comprise
3 members. |
| (2) |
The company will be asking lawyers and specialists in their respective
fields to serve on the EAB. |
3. Duties
| (1) |
The EAB will be available to discuss with, and give
advice to, employees who may contact it by e-mail, telephone, letter
or by interview in connection with the kind of problems listed below.
The EAB will investigate the problem, and then present suggestions
to the section or department concerned. Where necessary, it will also
contact the employee directly, giving him or her details of its investigation
and the measures recommended. |

Worries, suggestions, opinions and complaints concerning the employee's
own work; |
| |
b. |
Seeking of advice and grievances or complaints concerning problems
in the way the employee is expected to perform his duties; |
| |
c. |
Seeking of advice and grievances or complaints on sexual harassment
and other human rights-related issues; |
| |
d. |
Worries about and seeking of advice on relations with other employees
in the company; |
| |
e. |
Discontent or dissatisfaction concerning personnel matters regarding
the company. |

In cases involving regulatory violations and other improper
acts, the EAB will, without fail, submit a report presenting the facts
to top management and, at the same time, will make recommendations
on remedies to the section or department concerned and will monitor
the action taken. |

The EAB will also be available to discuss advice and
hear complaints from ex-employees of MMC, as well as from employees
of affiliated companies and sales companies, and will take action
to resolve such problems. |
